If I do not make the opposing case myself, it sits in the room anyway. Just unspoken.

  • Over a thousand websites, ten years of WordPress and Elementor — untouched since February 2026.
  • Ninety rental units: weeks of work planned, standing in twenty minutes.
  • He buys no plugins any more. He builds them to fit, without the thousand settings.
  • No plugins, no login, no attack surface — his security argument, turned around.
  • But: never one prompt, more like two hundred. And he does not let the AI design.

That is not a spectator. That is one of us who left.

Most small businesses never really needed WordPress. WordPress was easy for us, the developer, to set it up for them.
